Regulation-specific assessments

AirCHECK undertakes health risk assessments for the main regulated occupational health hazard groups:

Each assessment is structured around the assessment requirements of the regulations applicable to that hazard.

What the assessment considers

The scope is tailored to the workplace, its activities and the hazards identified and may include:

• Work processes, tasks, materials, plant and equipment that may create health risks.
• Employees and occupational groups who may be exposed.
• The nature, extent, duration and frequency of potential exposure.
• Existing engineering, administrative and personal protective measures.
• Available exposure information, previous survey findings and relevant health trends.
• The need for further occupational hygiene monitoring, medical surveillance or specialist assessment.
• Prioritisation of risks and additional measures required to reduce exposure.

What you receive

AirCHECK provides a structured occupational health risk assessment report setting out the hazards identified, employees or groups potentially affected, risk findings, existing controls and prioritised recommendations. It also identifies where exposure monitoring, medical surveillance, information and training or specialist input may be required.

Professional and regulatory context

Assessments are undertaken with reference to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the specific assessment provisions of the regulations applicable to the hazard. Exposure monitoring and information and training are separate regulatory functions and are scoped accordingly. We also offer dedicated ergonomic risk assessments.
