Impartiality and independence

Our commitment

Our management and staff are committed to impartiality. We do not allow commercial, financial or other pressures to influence our findings. Management will not act in a way that contradicts this commitment.

How we stay independent

• We are not involved in the design, manufacture, supply, installation or maintenance of anything we inspect, and we have no links with organisations that are.
• We may tell you what a workplace needs, for example a required lighting level or that exposure must be controlled by local exhaust ventilation. The design, supply and installation are done by others, and we receive no fee or benefit from them.
• We identify and manage risks to our impartiality on an ongoing basis, and our staff declare any interests that could affect their objectivity.
• Our staff are not paid according to the number or outcome of the inspections they perform.
• Every report is checked by someone other than the person who did the work, and approved by a Registered Occupational Hygienist.

Confidentiality

Information obtained from or created for our clients is kept confidential. We do not place it in the public domain unless the client agrees in writing, or the law requires us to disclose it.

Raising a concern

If you have a concern about the impartiality of our work, or wish to lodge a complaint or appeal, please contact our Managing Director at admin@aircheck-aia.co.za. Concerns are handled confidentially and without any consequence to the person raising them.
